Dearborn in their capacity as Superintendents of the Massachusetts Lighthouses. Included are correspondence from Treasury Secretary Albert Gallatin, contractor and lamp maker Winslow Lewis, Lighthouse Keeper Barzillai Delano, and Portland Customs Collector Isaac Ilsley. The correspondence relates to construction proposals and repairs to the lighthouse, the supply of oil, and to the keeper’s quarterly expenses.
