(Dec. 10, 2004) One of the first humvees assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) outfitted with the Marine Armor Kit (MAK) rolls on to the lot at the MEU Service Support Group-26 (MSSG-26). The MAK adaptable to two or four-door humvees, helps shield Marines from the effects of improvised explosive devices and other ballistic battlefield dangers.
