
On Saturday, Feb. 5 just after noon, an exploding mortar round hit the Markale market killing more than 63 people and wounding 206 others. A Bosnian man lies wounded while his closest relative, a young girl, consoles his pain. At the request of the United Nations, aircraft from Rhein-Main AB, Germany, and the International Red Cross were sent in to airlift the wounded to Ramstein AB, Germany. Once at Ramstein the wounded were transported by medical bus to the Army Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl
