On 19 February 2006 soldiers from 10th Mountain, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry conducted Operation Vigilant Warrior in the Village of Oswesat on the Euphrates River. The purpose of the Air Assault Operation was to capture suspected terrorist and capture and destroy large caches of ordnance to deter terrorist from conducting a planned raid on the Abu Ghraib Prison. Soldiers form 2-22 INF dug a cache site full of 105-155mm rounds found buried on the edge of the Euphrates River. The site held around 80 rounds in it.(Released)US Army photo by SSG Kevin L.
