Salruck Graveyard at Leenane, Co. Galway, rather bizarrely scattered with clay pipes or dúidín...There's an explanation in Black's Guide to Ireland, 1912 ( http://www.renvyle.com/en/blacks-guide-book-ireland-1912/ ) :."There is a curious graveyard here where the graves are covered with stones and adorned with clay pipes, a fact which has led some superficial observers to conclude that the natives made votive offerings to the dead.
