Thomas Frederick Scales was New Zealand’s official war photographer in the United Kingdom during the First World War. This group of images (dry plate glass negatives) were taken in 1918 and 1919. They show New Zealand and Australian troops taking part in two victory parades; the Lord Mayor's Procession, held just before the signing of the armistice on 11 November 1918, and the Dominion troops victory march in May 1919. These photographs are part of the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association: New Zealand official negatives, World War 1914-1918 (PA-Group-00051) collection in the Alexander Turnbull Library, National Library of New Zealand.
