Dairo, a sailor participating in Africa Partnership Station West embarked aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), watches as the German navy Type 702 Berlin-class combat support ship Frankfurt AM MAIN (A 1412) conducts a refueling at sea with Gunston Hall. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa supporting Africa Partnership Station, an international initiative developed by U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
