NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (July 2, 2020) George Vogiatzis, a Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, Greece, Morale, Welfare and Recreation employee, hangs a popcorn banner on a tent while setting up for the installation’s Independence Day Celebration in the Navy Exchange parking lot July 2, 2020. NSA Souda Bay got creative in order to hold the event during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they delivered an evening of fun that had Sailors celebrating 244 years since America gained its independence. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore base that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where they are needed when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
