The designation of the part on t.p. (tenor, etc) varies according to contents.
Preliminary matter of first book consists of coat of arms (on verso of t.p.), composer's dedication dated: Pragae Galand: Saptamb. Anno 1580 ... Iacobus Hàndl Gallus vocatus, Garniolanus; two laudatory poems and the "Index Missarvm" for all four books with thematic indications.
Preliminary matter of second book of tenor part consists of (same) coat of arms and dedication dated: Pragae ipso die sancti Michaelis Archangeli. 1580.
Preliminary matter of third book of tenor part consists of compoer's dedication dated: Pragae die omnibus Sanctio sacro ... 1580.
Preliminary matter of fourth book of tenor part consists of composer's dedication dated: Pragae ipso nostræ sanctissimae patronae D. Cecilina die ... 1580.
As end of fourth book (only) of tenor part two laudatory poems in distiche.
The other part books contain no preliminary matter except, though not always, the same coat of arms on verso of t.p.
LC copy the "Septima et Octava Vox" is bound with the "Sexta Vox" in one volume.
