PHILIPPINE SEA (Jun. 17, 2012) Military Sealift Command civilian mariners aboard the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) prepare for a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4). Mercy is participating in Pacific Partnership 2012, an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission designed to work with host and partner nations, non-government organizations and international agencies to build partnership and a collective ability to respond to natural disasters.
