Summary

Naval Station Ingleside, Texas. (Apr. 16, 2003) Members of the Auxiliary Security Force (ASF), are trained how to properly use the ASP collapsible baton. The baton is primarily a defensive or non-lethal tool that is used when the situation calls for less than deadly force to apprehend a suspect or quell a riot situation. ASF personnel are made up of volunteers from all units aboard a naval station or vessel and are primarily used to augment the embarked Master-at-Arms force or police force during heightened states of security.
