Phelps on April 10 1838, and three additional receipts: (1) for payment made by "New England Anti-Slavery Society" to “Dutton & Wentworth, Dr.” for an advertisement in the Transcript of a meeting; (2) for payment made by H. G. Chapman to “Dutton & Wentworth, Dr.” for an advertisement in the Transcript of an antislavery celebration; (3) for payment made by Charles Chapman to “Proprietors of the DAILY ADVERTISER, Dr.” for advertisement of an antislavery convention.
