Marines with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, add cheese to a large pot of noodles, July 26. Many Marines from 3rd platoon played a part in making a meal for the entire company. Some chopped wood while others prepared the noodles and several built a fire and chopped ham. Staff Sgt. Joshua Ortiz, a platoon sergeant with 3rd Bn., 7th Marines, suggested the Marines use their resources and make a good meal despite the hardships of living on a patrol base. The meal consisted of ham and cheese noodles, peaches and cake.
