SINGAPORE (Jun. 08, 2009) Maj. Derek Snell, landing force officer-in-charge for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2009, visits with Lt. Col. Vince Tan, executive officer of the Republic of Singapore Navy frigate RSS Intrepid, before the opening ceremony for the Singapore phase of CARAT at Changi Naval Base. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
