Vanessa Walton, the navigator aboard the guided-missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37), explains how she uses charts to visiting Royal Cambodian Navy officers during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Cambodia 2010. The visit is part of the process to familiarize watch standers of both countries with each other's procedures before the first dedicated underway exercise by U.S. and Royal Cambodian Navy ships. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
