description

Summary

Alfred H. Love welcomes Garrison's return to the United States, and thanks him for the paper sent from England. Love states that the Universal Peace Society will be holding a series of meetings at the end of January in Washington, D.C., and expresses his desire that Garrison should speak at one of the meetings. Love states that the Pennsylvania Peace Society and the Pennsylvania Equal Rights Association both request that Garrison should lecture at their meetings when he passes through Philadelphia en route to Washington. Love states that the matter has been "formally presented" and "received unanimous approval" from the Executive Committees of both societies. Love states that the Philadelphia Temperance Society may also request that Garrison join them for a meeting, and that he will confirm with their committee.
