"In a dream, Lord Macartney imagine being imprisoned in the Tower of London and perceive the bust of the Comte d'Estaing, surrounded by trophies. The English flags were overturned and chained over a bas-relief depicting the defeat of the Grenada and the fleet of Admiral Byron. The Lord exclaims : Fate does everything and his sentence was cruel: I am beaten, am I a criminal? "
