Number 38: Sheet of vignettes; at left, a fashionably dressed young woman holding a parasol and a hankerchief; at right, an old beggar woman, with a basket on her back, leaning on a walking stick; the two women are separated by a decorative design of a female head and a naked female figure; in the margins, vignettes of various contrasting 'good' and 'evil' figures, between the left and the right margin, including the busts of a young man and woman at left, and beggars and the elderly at right; in the top margin at centre, a young woman and a beggar recline against an ornament bearing a number; at the lower margin, a couple on a sledge at left contrast with a peasant couple dragging a heavy cart. 1837-40
