ATLANTIC OCEAN (May. 19, 2009) Lance Cpl. Sean Godfrey, assigned to the 26th Weapons Company, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., gives Joan Jett, lead singer of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, an overview of the MK-19 40mm machine gun during a tour of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima is en route to Fleet Week New York City 2009. This week-long event provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see first-hand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
