Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins, who appeared before the Senate and House Labor Committees today to endorse the Black-Connery Wage and Hour Bill, is pictured with the authors of the legislations, Senator Hugo L. Black of Alabama, and Rep. William P. Connery, Jr. (right) of Massachusetts. Removal of sweatshop conditions and abolition of child labor is the objective of the bill. 6/4/37
