Louis Meurisse born in Boulogne-sur-Mer to a Belgian photographer father, he became one of the first French reporters-photographers for the Branger Agency in Paris where he worked from 1890 to 1904 and specialized in covering sports events, especially car races1. In 1909 he founded the Meurisse Press Agency, which he ran until his death in 1932.
