Job Macy House, 11 Mill Street, Nantucket, Nantucket County, MA
Summary
Significance: An early example of the typical Nantucket dwelling-house with two stories front and rear rather than a lean-to to rear and characterized by a lack of symmetry, four bays, off-center doorway and chimney. This is the predominant domestic building type in Nantucket town between 1770 and 1830 and is apparently indigenous.
