Walkway from lodge through parking lot, #2 The parking lot was part of the Jackson Lake Lodge Site Plan, created in 1955. The plan included the Lodge, parking lot, three rows of cottages, six employee dormitories, four employee houses, employee recreation center, the corral, and gas station area. The large central parking area reflects concerns of post-war planners for the efficient transportation of large numbers of vehicles in parks.
