Significance: Isaac Delgado established the Delgado Trade School. Delgado Hall was built in 1921 and designed by architect Edward Angelo Christy and built by John A. Chisolin. Delgado Hall hold a significant place, both in its architectural style and in the pursuit of the goals of the original benefactor, Isaac Delgado, to help educate the underprivileged. The Neo Classical building's defining features include rectangular masses with large expanses of plain wall surfaces lacking projections, an absence of free standing statues, single rather than coupled columns, white or light coloration, and a preference for Greek rather than Roman precedents. A semicircular window in the pediment was a very common feature, as was a semicircular fanlight over the front door. The style was mostly for courthouses and schools.
