GULF OF GUINEA (Mar. 25, 2010) Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Matt Kopa, center, from Waymart, Pa., assigned to USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), discusses boarding procedures with Nigerian sailors aboard the Nigerian Buoy Tender NNS Nwamba. Gunston Hall and Nwamba are operating together during Africa Partnership Station (APS) West. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa in support of APS West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
