GUEREO, Senegal (Apr. 06, 2010) Information Systems Technician 1st Class Erik Lake, from Conowingo, Md., assigned to Beach Master Unit (BMU) 2, directs a Humvee after it has disembarked from Landing Craft Utiity (LCU) 1660, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2, during an offload of U.S., Spanish, Portuguese and British Marines assigned to the Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force (SC-MAGTF) and Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 7. BMU-2, ACU-2, SC-MAGTF and NMCB-7 are embarked aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) as part of Africa Partnership Station West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa, which aims to work cooperatively with U.S. and international Partners to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
