Imagination was an American fantasy and science fiction magazine first published in October 1950 by Raymond Palmer's Clark Publishing Company. The magazine was sold almost immediately to Greenleaf Publishing Company, owned by William Hamling, who published and edited it from the third issue, February 1951, for the rest of the magazine's life. Hamling launched a sister magazine, Imaginative Tales, in 1954; both ceased publication at the end of 1958 in the aftermath of major changes in US magazine distribution due to the liquidation of American News Company.

"Imaginative Tales was a pulp science fiction magazine that existed for a short time in the 1950s. It was published by the Greenleaf Publishing Company and had a total of six issues, running from September 1954 to November 1955. The magazine was edited by Samuel Mines, who also edited other science fiction magazines such as "Future Science Fiction" and "Science Fiction Quarterly". "Imaginative Tales published short stories and novellas in the science fiction and fantasy genres. Like many pulp magazines of the time, it had colourful and often sensational cover art. The stories within its pages covered a wide range of speculative topics, from space exploration to time travel and encounters with aliens. Although Imaginative Tales had a relatively short life, it contributed to the vibrant landscape of science fiction pulp magazines in the mid-20th century. These magazines played a crucial role in popularising the science fiction genre and providing a platform for many now famous authors to showcase their early work.
