Program book for the New York Hippodrome, New York City, for the 1917-1918 season, including several pages of advertisements. The booklet features the performance program for an elaborate variety bill, "Cheer Up! A Musical Review in 3 Cheers," which includes Houdini in two of his most sensational feats: "The Vanishing Elephant," in which he causes an elephant to disappear before the audience's eyes, and "The Submersible Iron-Bound Box Mystery," in which he extricates himself from chains and from a sealed, iron-bound box submerged in a tank of water. Houdini made his Hippodrome debut on January 7, 1918.
