PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. (Apr. 28, 2009) The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Toledo (SSN 769) is moored next to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) with the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) in the background. The three naval vessels are in South Florida to participate in Fleet Week Port Everglades 2009. More than 1,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen are participating in a number of community outreach activities April 27 to May 2 as well as enjoying the hospitality and tourism of South Florida.
