Significance: Graugnard Farms Plantation in St. James, LA, was built between 1790 and 1820. The house was built with bousillage between post construction. The plantation was moved three times, due to changes in the river's path, and was lowered during the last move around the 1880's. At this time the interior was renovated with Victorian details; such as, doors, fireplaces, and moldings. The home is now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. James Graugnard, Jr. and children, Monique, Rene, and James III.
