Original Caption: Tiny-looking people mingle around the Jefferson Memorial on the Potomac River. The memorial celebrates the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. The structure is reminiscent of his home in Monticello with its circular domed design based on the Pantheon in Rome, which Jefferson believed to be a perfect model of a circular building.
