G. Von L. Meyer, William Loeb - Public domain portrait photograph
Summary
Photograph shows George von Lengerke Meyer (1858-1918), a government official who served as United States Postmaster General under Theodore Roosevelt and as United States Secretary of the Navy under President William Howard Taft. Meyer is standing with politician William Loeb, Jr. (1866-1937) who was Presidential secretary to President Theodore Roosevelt. Both men supported the nomination of Theodore Roosevelt for president and are probably at the 1916 Republican National Convention which took place in Chicago from June 7-10, 1916.
