Summary
Folio from a historical Guru Granth Sahib manuscript dating to the mid-to-late-17th century (ca.1660-75). It is claimed to be one of the twenty oldest manuscripts of the Guru Granth Sahib that are extant or publicly known. It was purchased by the British Museum in 1884 from the Reverend A. Fischer, a former principle of a missionary school based in Amritsar, Punjab. The British Library claims "it is the oldest known manuscript copy outside India of a substantial part of the Sikh scripture".
