EVERETT, Wash. (Apr. 22, 2013) Family members watch as the guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) departs from Naval Station Everett for a deployment to the western Pacific region. Momsen is scheduled to participate in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT), a series of bilateral exercises conducted with the armed forces of participating southeastern Asian countries meant to improve engagement and cooperation.
