Description (January 16, 1936) Fairchild 22: This is one of the hardest aircraft to identify in Langley's past, as it appeared in numerous guises. Built as a standard Fairchild 22, the NACA changed the wing, the wing position, the flaps, the tail surfaces and even the engine.
