Élisabeth Bruyère (March 19, 1818 – April 5, 1876) was the founder of the Sisters of Charity of Bytown. She opened the first hospital in what would become Ottawa and the first bilingual school in Ontario.Français : Élisabeth Bruyère, née le 19 mars 1818 à L'Assomption dans le Bas-Canada et morte le 5 avril 1876 à Ottawa, est la fondatrice des Sœurs Grises de Bytown. On lui doit la création du premier hôpital d'Ottawa et la première école bilingue de l'Ontario.
