During the Naval Oceanography Unmanned Systems Operational

During the Naval Oceanography Unmanned Systems Operational Demonstration in Gulfport, Miss., on June 1, 2017, Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (COMNAVMETOCCOM) and Oceanographer of the Navy Rear Adm. Tim Gallaudet and The University of Southern Mississippi President Rodney D. Bennett presented Tier 1 certifications to fifteen students who are expected to be the first class in the nation to earn a certification in Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS).
