"A (for me) large batch of these Mexican notes of the revolutionary period came to me and I found a number of varieties unlisted in the Pick catalog.  Quantity and variety were sufficient to make a presentation useful.
    The notes are all 5 pesos P-S1067 (81 pieces) and 10 pesos P-S1068 (86 pieces).

For starters, there are two REPUBLICA MEXICANA seals, 35mm and 38mm, printed in black on both denominations.

Then there are series.  For both 5 and 10 pesos I noted the following series in my batch: none, 2, 3, and 4.  National seal size does not necessarily correlate with series:

5 pesos            38mm seal                series: none, 2, 3, 4
10 pesos          35mm seal                series: 2, 3, 4
10 pesos          38mm seal                series: none, 3, 4
    Finally there are the local inkstamps.  I noted the following types:

FUERZAS DEL ESTADO DE SONORA. DETALL GENERAL.  49mm diameter.  Pick handstamp #2.  Always in black.

ADUANA MARITIMA DE GUAYMAS ADMINISTRACION.  44x30mm.  Pick handstamp #3.  I have MAR(?) 1915, ABR 02(?) 1915, and MAY (all illegible) 1915.  There are probably other days but all are doubtful or completely illegible.  Various colors in the illustrated range from purple to blue.

ADUANA FRONTERIZA DE NOGALES, SON. ADMINISTRACION FEB 1(4) 1915.  56x35mm.  Pick handstamp #5.  Only one example in the batch.

SECRETARIA PARTICULAR DEL GOBIERNO DEL ESTADO DE SONORA.  39mm diameter.  Unlisted in Pick.  I'll call it #6.  Only comes in this blackish-purple color.

TESORERIA DEL ESTADO DE SONORA HERMOSILLO.  27mm diameter.  Unlisted in Pick.  I'll call it #7." - Bob Reis.
