Direct Radio Telegraphic communication between the United States and Spain was officially opened at the offices of the R.C.A. Communications in Washington this morning. Mariano de Amoedo, charge d'affaires of the Spanish Embassy is shown pressing the telegraphic key opening the service. The King of Spain and the Prime Minister were at the other end of the circuit.
