Constable Jonas Gideon of the Saint Lucian Marine Police keeps an eye on his fellow officers from aboard a Coast Guard Cutter, while they perform patrol of the harbor in Saint Lucia. Members of the 820th Red Horse Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, who are building the Marine Police a new barracks as part of Operation NEW HORIZONS, got to see what the Coast Guard does on a daily basis off the coast of Saint Lucia. Approximately 100 Marine, Army and Air Force personnel have deployed to Saint Lucia as part of New Horizons. The operation has a two fold mission of readiness training and humanitarian assistance in the Caribbean and Latin America
