Portland, Maine (Oct. 04, 2006) Coast Guard Cutter Marcus Hannah is affixed with a Vessel of Opportunity Skimming System (VOSS) during an oil spill training exercise in Casco Bay, Maine. The VOSS can be affixed to virtually any vessel in an area affected by an oil spill and is designed to skim oil off the surface of the water and transfer it to an inflatable barge capable of holding approximately 10,000 gallons.
