Summary
Civilian and Soldiers were recognized by the 1st Mission Support Command for their extraordinary efforts during the recovery of hurricanes Irma and Maria at Ft. Buchanan, Puerto Rico on 14 Feb. 2018. Thanking the civilians was a goal of the entire 1st MSC and a passionate speech was given by Brig. Gen. Dustin A. Shultz before she presented the awards.
In the aftermath of the hurricanes, the 1st MSC took the lead in disaster relief that included Soldiers on leave, Retired, Reserve, Active Duty, Government Service employees and civilian volunteers.
