Description: Children's group maypole dancing, 1900-1910. Girls stand in a circle around the pole and hold the ribbon streamers. They wear headgear, dresses, stockings and shoes. Two of the three girls sitting at the centre of the pole have flowers in their hair and hold baskets of flowers. A wreath hangs from the pole above their heads. A man sits and play the accordion to the right. Children are lined up against the fence and look on. Trees are visible in the background.
