Children from a local orphanage visit the base Fire Department at Camp Butmir as part of Operation Smile, under Operation JOINT FORGE. The program sponsored by the United States National Support Element to bring some happiness to sick, hospitalized and orphaned children in Bosnia. The children spent the day with NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) multinational volunteers participating in several events highlighting different aspects of military operations on Camp Butmir. This program offers military members a way to contribute to the local community while deployed to Sarajevo, Bosnia and/I Herzegovina
