Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Marines
Summary
Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct a decontamination during a “no-notice” embassy reinforcement and CBRN response drill on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 30, 2019. The exercise demonstrated the MEU’s ability to conduct planning, insertion, execution, and retrograde at distances of up to 600 miles within 72 hours. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
