CGC MIDGETT'S DEPLOYMENT W/USS CONSTELLATION

Arabian Gulf (July 15)--GMC James G. Guerette checks the control consol of the 76mm gun mounted on the bow of the CGC Midgett (WHEC 721). The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Midgett departed homeport of Seattle Washington on June 18, 1999, to deploy with the USS Constellation Battle Group to the Persian Gulf. The Midgett is the first Coast Guard cutter to deploy to the Gulf with a U.S. Navy Battle Group. Once in the Gulf, the Midgetts primary missionis to enforce the United Nation's sanctions that arein place. USCG photo by PA2 Alice Sennott
