As is taught in the Musick-school of Aberdeen. The 3rd ed., much enl. and corr. Printed in Aberdeen by Iohn Forbes, and are to be sold at his printing-house above the Meal-market, at the sign of the Towns-armes, 1682.
The photolithographic facsimile issued in the New club series, Paisley, A. Gardner, 1879, contains the illustrated t.p. only.
In the 1st and 2nd editions the "Brief introduction to musick" is given as by Thomas Davidson.
"Severall of the choisest Italilan songs composed by Giovanni Giacomo Castoldi [i.e. Gastoldi] da Carravaggio. Together also, with some of the best new English-ayres ..."--P. [90]-[116].
The English composers named are Henry Lawes, Simon Ives, William Webb, Jeremy Savile, and Dr. Wilson.
