Camp Phoenix Soldiers Volunteer Their Time to Help Afghan Children in Kabul
Summary
Forty Soldiers and Airmen stationed at Camp Phoenix, Kabul, Afghanistan, volunteered their time, July 9, to sort through and organize more than 100 boxes of donated humanitarian aid, including 2,000 pairs of shoes, sixty boxes of children's books and twenty-five boxes of medical supplies, for the Afghan children. The Soldiers and Airmen volunteer their time with Operation Outreach Afghanistan. Operation Outreach Afghanistan is an all-volunteer organization designed to provide compassionate humanitarian assistance and medical outreach to the Afghan people. There are more than 174 military personnel and contractors at Camp Phoenix that are members of Operation Outreach Afghanistan.
