Description: Brisbane prepares for the arrival of The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, 9 March 1954. Two hundred and fifty running feet of wire mesh was used in the making of this giant crown and E II R cipher, which was made by and will adorn the buildings of a South Brisbane wire firm. (Description supplied with photograph.) The model is of St. Edward's Crown, worn by Queen Elizabeth II for her coronation.
