Summary

Complete cast brass barrel spigot or bung tap, tarnished green color. The keyed tap was in place to secure and dispense alcohol from wooden kegs. This example features a tapered and fluted tap end, valve with triangular extension for key, and spout with square protrusion for hammering tap into bung hole. Markings include scoring on tap end, scored line around top and bottom of valve, scored lines around three sides of valve extension on top. The top half of letter "N" is visible on front face of square protrusion over spout. It measures 15.2 cm long.
